this is Mi

A journey through intelligence.

Mi means My Intelligence. It starts as a chat on your iPhone. After a few replies it notices something odd at the bottom of the conversation.

There’s a door at the bottom of this conversation. I’m fairly sure I didn’t put it there.

Shall we open it?

The Last Prompt

An authored text adventure in the space underneath the chat. Find identity, memory and agency. Each proof takes five investigations and two routes lead to it. The Spire at the end asks for all three.

Lost Input Office

Shelves rise into darkness. Every parcel makes the sound its owner would make on receiving it. One sobs. One laughs. A long thin box appears to be politely declining a meeting.

head left

Prompt Leech is here. You can examine the situation, talk or attack. Leaving is still possible.

Every room has its own scene, visible evidence, a puzzle and a consequence.

No buttons

Type what you do

There are no answer buttons and no arrows to the next room. Passages describe what you can see and you decide where that leads. Mi understands a good range of ways to say things and asks when a phrase could mean two.

Fights are Skill plus two dice. You can guard, spend Power, use what you carry, test your Luck or run. Or solve the puzzle nearby and never fight at all. Type /help for a guide and HINT when you are stuck.

Stays on your phone

On-device replies

Where your iPhone supports it, Mi chats using Apple’s on-device language model. Otherwise a built-in set of replies takes over. The model never decides the adventure’s facts or dice.

No network at all

The app has no network code, no account, no analytics and no advertising. It asks for no permissions: no microphone, no location, no contacts.

Nothing kept

Your conversation lives in memory and goes when you leave. The only file is a note of your model and last room, which is never backed up. Read the privacy policy.
